in the 6th grade classes, there are 4 girls for every 3 boys. if there are 24 girls, how many boys are there

uM, this isn't the algebraic way to solve it but y'know.. This is just my way since I'm too lazy to use my brain right now.

So lets Write out an equation for the 4 girls for 3 boys. Let g be girls and b be boys.

4g=3b

To get from 4 to 24 we need to multiply by 6. We need to multiply both sides by 6.

4g*6=3b*6

Multiply

24g=18b

There are 18 boys
