Explanation;
Clean Air Act is a US federal law that is designed to control the pollution of air on a national level.
Under the clean air act, the environmental protection agency is required to regulate the emission of pollutants which endanger public health and welfare.
EPA is required to the emission of six major pollutants namely: carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, particulate matter, hydrocarbons and photochemical oxidants
.
