Compare and contrast Venus and Mars, how are they different from each other and how are they the same

The atmospheres of Mars and Venus are similar; they are comprised largely of carbon dioxide gas. Both planets do not have an active magnetic shield lie earth hence their atmosphere is regularly eroded by solar storms.

The difference, however, is that Venus’ atmosphere is thick and hot while that of Mars is thin and cold. This is because Venus is closer to the sun than mars
