Answer: There are 819 fewer number of cases of water bottle that all athlete, all coaches and all judges will get.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of days the meeting is going on = 3 days

Number of athletes = 117

Number of coaches = 7

Number of judges = 4

Number of bottles given to each athlete each day = 4

Total number of bottles total athlete for 3 days will get is given by

117* 4* 3\\\\=1404

Number of bottles given to each coach each day = 3

Total number of bottles total coach for 3 days will get is given by

7* 3* 3\\\\=63

Number of bottles given to each judge each day = 2

Total number of bottles total judge for 3 days will get is given by

4* 3* 2\\\\=24

Number of cases of water bottle is given to athletes is given by

(1404)/(24)

Number of cases of water bottle is given to coaches is given by

(63)/(24)

Number of cases of water bottle is given to judges is given by

(24)/(24)

We need to find the fewer number of cases that all athlete , all coaches and all judges will get

\text{L.C.M. of }(1404)/(24),(63)/(24),(24)/(24)\\\\=(L.C.M.\ of\ 1404,63,24)/(H.C.F.\ of\ 24,24,24)\\\\=(19656)/(24)\\\\=819

Hence, there are 819 fewer number of cases of water bottle that all athlete, all coaches and all judges will get.

Answer: 21 cases (approx)

Explanation:

Here, The total number of athletes = 117,

The total number of coaches = 7

And, The total number of judges = 4

Also, The water bottles consumed by, One athletes = 4

One Coach = 3

One judge = 2

Thus, the total bottles consumed by all = bottles consumed by 117 athletes + bottles consumed by 7 coaches + bottles consumed by 4 judges.

= 117 × 4 + 7 × 3 + 4 × 2

= 468 + 21 + 8

= 497

Thus, the total number of bottles = 497.

Since, One case of bottled water contains 24 bottles.

Therefore total number of cases = 497/24 = 20.7083333333 ≈ 21

⇒ The fewest number of cases = 21 (approx)
