Answer:

f(f(- 2)) = - 16

Explanation:

To evaluate f(f(- 2)), evaluate f(- 2) then evaluate f(x) for this value

f(- 2) = (- 2 × - 2) + 8 = 4 + 8 = 12, hence

f(12) = (- 2 × 12 ) + 8 = - 24 + 8 = - 16

Answer:

f(f(-2) = -16

Explanation:

The first step is to evaluate the function f at -2

f(-2) = -2(-2) +8

f(-2) = 4+8

=12

Then we evaluate the function f at x=12

f(12) = -2(12) +8

= -24 +8

= -16

f(f(-2) = -16
