Ahmad sells beaded necklaces. Each large necklace sells for $ 4.70 and each small necklace sells for $ 3.90 . How much will he earn from selling 3 large necklaces and 5 small necklaces?

My reason is because if you multiply 4.70 by 3 you will get 14.1 and if you multiply 3.90 by 5 you get 19.5. Add both of them together and you should get 33.6

Total earning of Ahmad is

Cost of the Large necklaces = Number of necklaces × Cost of one necklace

So the cost of large necklace = 3×4.7 = $ 14.10

In the same way cost of small necklaces =Number of necklaces × cost of one necklace

Therefore the cost of small necklaces = 5×3.9 = $ 19.50

So total earnings by selling necklaces will be = Earning from small necklaces + Earning from large necklaces

Total Earning of Ahmad = 14.10 + 19.50= $ 33.60
