a=v-u/t
a=gravity =9.81
9.81=(v-0)/1.5
v=14.715(downward)

Answer: The velocity of the cat is 14.7 m/s. Or the cat is moving with the speed of 14.7 m/s after jumping from the balcony.

Step-by-step explanation:

The initial velocity of the cat ,u= 0 m/s

the final velocity of the cat, v=v

Acceleration due to gravity = g =
9.8 m/s^2

Time interval ,t = 1.5 s

Using First equation of motion:

V=u+gt

v=0 m/s+9.8\time 1.5 s

v=14.7 m/s

The velocity of the cat is 14.7 m/s. Or the cat is moving with the speed of 14.7 m/s after jumping from the balcony.
