Answer:

Jacob worked 4 hours and earned $60

Explanation:

Let

y ----> the amount earned

x ----> the number of hours

First job

The linear equation is equal to

y=10x+20 ----> equation A

Second job

The linear equation is equal to

y=15x -----> equation B

we know that

He earned the same amount of money at both jobs

To find the number of hours he worked math equation A and equation B

10x+20=15x

solve for x

15x-10x=20

5x=20

x=4 hours

so

For x=4 hours

y=10x+20 -------> y=10(4)+20=$60

y=15x -------------> y=15(4)=$60

For x=4 hours

The amount earned is the same in both works
