He buys 12 apples then buys as many bananas as possible with his change he buys more apples how many apples and bananas did he buy?

He bought 12 apples and 10 bananas.

Explanation:

He has E5.

He buts 12 apples then buys as many bananas.

bananas = 40p so 0.07*12 is E0.84

E5-E0.84= E4.16.

4.16=40p

p=10.4

So he bought 10 bananas.
