Explanation:

To get the coordinates, we use the internal division formula

Mathematically, that will be;

(nx1 + mx2)/(m+n) , (ny1 + my2)/(m + n)

In this case;

m = 5

n = 3

(x1,y1) = (-6,9)

(x2,y2) = (2,1)

Substituting these values, we have that;

(3(-6) + 5(2)/(5+3) , (3)(9) + 5(1))/(5 + 3)

= (-18 + 10)/8 , (27+5)/8

= -8/8,32/8

= (-1,4)
