a = 3

substitute a with 3

2(a+3)

= 2(3+3)

= 2(6)

= 12

i) 2(3) = 6 ❌

ii) 5(3) = 15 ❌

iii) 2(3)+3 = 6+3 = 9❌

iv) 2(3)+6 = 6+6 = 12
