Answer:

1. 'Head is held high' indicates that we should not be ashamed of ourselves. Rather we should be proud of our country, for what we have. A sense of self-dignity is what we need to enjoy our freedom fully.

2. The word ‘domestic’ may be taken at more than one sense. It may mean regional or internal. It also points to the narrow attitude as opposed to a feeling of one united nation or one united human race. People often raise barriers around themselves based on their difference with the outer world in terms of class, caste, colour, race, religion, region, ethnicity and so on. These barriers are not favourable for nationalism and internationalism. That is why they are ‘domestic’ in nature.

3. The phrase ‘from the depth of truth’ refers to honesty. The poem was written during the time India was a British colony and Tagore used this phrase to urge Indians to be courageous and speak their hearts out before the world.
