Answer:

h = 160 m

Explanation:

h is the length of a leg. h is opposite the 15-deg angle.

The hypotenuse measures 628 m.

The since is the trig ratio that relates the opposite leg to the hypotenuse.

sin A = opp/hyp

sin 15 deg = h / 628 m

h = 628 m * sin 15 deg

h = 628 m * 0.2588

h = 162.54 m

Rounded off to two significant digits, the answer is

h = 160 m

Answer:

we can use sin to solve this

sin=opposite/hypotenuse

sin(15)=h/628

628sin(15)=h

using a calculator we find that h is 162.5383634 or just 162.5
