Answer:

X=11

Explanation:

So simplify the equation by distibuting on 1 side

-2+4x=6x-24

Now solve it normally

Subtract 4x on both sides

-2=2x-24

Now add 24 on both sides

22=2x

Now divide 2 on both sides

x=11

Answer:

The value of x ⇨ 11

Explanation:

⟺ Distribute 6 in the expression (x-4)

-2+4x=6x-24

⟺ Because the variable terms cannot do anything with the constant, therefore we move the x-terms to the same side. We also move both constant to the same side as well.

-2+24=6x-4x\\22=2x

⟺ Move 2 to divide 22, leaving the x-term as only subject in the equation.

(22)/(2)=x\\11=x

Thus, the value of x ⇨ 11
