(x+y,2x-y)=(13,2)​

x= 5 y=8

Explanation:

x+ y=13( equation 1)

2x- y=2( equation 2)

From equation 1 we get:

x=13-y( equation 3)

Put equation 3 into equation 2:

2(13-y)- y=2

26-2y-y=2

26-3y=2

-3y=-24

y=8

Then from equation 3

x=5
