Why is 14th July celebrated in France?

A) The Declaration of Human Rights and the Amendment have been adopted.
B) The French revolution began.
C) The first Constitution of France was adopted.
D) France has been declared a Republic.

Help, this question is on our government prom exam on the History subject. I think all of the answers are wrong because the storming of the prison in Bastille is what actually happened on 14th July in France. The declaration of human rights was adopted in 10th December 1948. As for B) The French revolution started in 5th may 1789 and ended 9th November 1799. The Constitution was adopted in 28 september, and as for the last one, France has been declared a republic in 22 september 1972.

So, which one of the 4 listed answers is de facto the correct option?

Answer:

The 14th of July is the day of the national French celebration. Established in 1880, this date commemorates both the storming of the Bastille on the 14th July 1789, which ended absolute rule, and the Festival of the Federation of the 14th July 1790. On the 14th July 1789, rioters launched an attack on the fortress.

I did some research and the most reasonable answer looks like B but I see what you mean.

Step-by-step explanation:

I suggest speaking to your teacher in regards to this exam because I think it's wrong too or who knows, maybe we're both just wrong.
