Answer: the city should ban plastic bags because every hundred of millions of bags end up in the Atlantic ocean, causing harm to countless marine life, mainly because plastic bags contain lead which is harmful to marine life. not only that people are not recycling it, therefore, but it also makes it harder for sea life to survive with all this toxic waste floating around in the oceans and seas.

This is to attract public's kind attention towards the ongoing issue of 'ban of single use plastic bags'.

These bags have been an important part of our daily lives, but have been detrimental to environment at the same time. So, the decision should be taken diligently analysing their pros & cons - eg (easy & cheap handling of goods, non biodegradable material respectively)

I hope & wish that public & government takes the best feasible decision considering all the aspects, which strikes the balance between economical handling of goods & environmental sustainability.
