In order to solve this question we will have to first find the relation ship between the length of the shadow and the height of an object. I order to find this relation ship we will have to divide the height of an object by the length of the shadow. So we do......


(6)/(3) = 2

Now we know that if the height increases by 2ft the length of the shadow will increase by 1 foot (in other words the height of an object is twice as much as the length of its shadow). So now we just have to multiply the length of the shadow by 2 in order to get the height of the giraffe. And so we get.....

8 x 2 = 16
