What is the max length of the base of the the rectangle he can build

The computation of the maximum length of the base of the triangle is as follows:

Area of triangle is = 4 × 6 ÷ 2

= 12 ft²

Now the maximum area of the rectangle is

= 150 - 12

= 138 ft²

L = ?

W = 6 ft

Area of rectangle is = L × W

L × 6 = 138

L = 138 ÷ 6

= 23 ft
