Answer:

given y=7x-8 i

y=5x-2 ii

Explanation:

equating equation i and ii which is i=ii

7x-8=5x-2

7x-5x= -2+8

2x=6

x=6÷2

x=3

now

putting the value of xbin equation i

y=7x-8

y=7×3-8

y=21-8

y=13

hence the value of x and y is 3 and 13 respectively

Answer:

x=3, y=13. (3, 13).

Explanation:

7x-8=5x-2

7x-5x-8=-2

2x-8=-2

2x=-2+8

2x=6

x=6/2=3

y=5(3)-2=15-2=13
