The set up will give a right angles triangle

Given

The Horizontal distance = Adjacent side = 300ft

The height = Opposite side = 150ft

Using the SOH CAH TOA identity;

tan theta = opposite/adjacent

tan theta = 150/300

tan theta = 1/2

theta = arctan 1/2

theta = 26.56 degrees

Hence the angle of elevation is 26.56 degrees
