Answer:

a_(1) = 12

a_(2) = 20

a_(3) = 28

Explanation:

In order to find the values of the first three terms of this sequence we would have to substitute in the "n" values for the first three terms that we mention earlier so. So in order to find the value of the first term we will substitute n with 1 (since the first term will be written as
a_(1), and as you see 1 will be equal to n, use the same logic for the other three terms) , in order to find the value of the second term the n would be substituted with 2, and for the third value we will substitute n with 3.

a_(1) = 8 x 1 + 4

a_(1) = 8 + 4

a_(1) = 12

Then.......

a_(2) = 8 x 2 + 4

a_(2) = 16 + 4

a_(3) = 20

And finally .......

a_(3) = 8 x 3 + 4

a_(3) = 24 + 4

a_(3) = 28
