Happy Holidays! =)

\large\boxed{x = -(5)/(2) \text{ and } 1}}

4x² + 6x = 10

Move 10 to the other side so we can factor the trinomial:

4x² + 6x - 10 = 0

Factor the GCF, or 2 out of the equation:

2(2x² + 3x - 5) = 0

Factor the terms inside of the parenthesis:

2(2x + 5)(x - 1) = 0

Disregard the coefficient of 2 and set each factor equal to 0:

2x + 5 = 0

2x = -5

x = -5/2

x - 1 = 0

x = 1

The values of x are -5/2 and 1.
