The table below shows the amount of flour and eggs you need for making different-sized batches of cookies using the same recipe.

Cups of flour Number of eggs

Batch A 3 2

Batch B 9 6

Batch C 12 8


Write an equation to describe the relationship between f, the cups of flour, and e, the number of eggs.


So to do this we have to divide cups of flour and Number of eggs.

So that means we can divide 3 / 2 = 1.5

9 / 6 = 1.5

12 / 8 = 1.5

So that means f is the cups of flour and e is the number of eggs.

So we can said we can put f / e =1.5

Cups of flour / Number of eggs = 1.5

So the answer is f / e = 1.5

f/e=1.5
