Answer:

Monthly income of Rita is $8000 and that of Bishant is $6000.

Explanation:

The monthly income of Reeta and Bishwant are in the ratio of 4 : 3 and their expenses are in the ratio 3:2.

If each of them saves Rs 2000 in a month. We need to find their monthly income.

Let Reeta earns an amount 4x, Bishant earns 3x. If Rita spends 3y, Bishant spends 2y. The amount saved by the two is equal to $2000

ATQ,

4x - 3y = 2000 ....(1)

3x - 2y = 2000 ...(2)

Multiply equation (1) by 3 and equation (2) by 4.

12x - 9y = 6000 ....(3)

12x - 8y = 8000 ...(4)

Subtract equation (3) and (4).

12x - 9y - (12x - 8y) = 6000 - 8000

12x -9y- 12x +8y = -2000

-y = -2000

y = 2000

Put y in equation (1)

4x - 3(2000) = 2000

4x - 6000 = 2000

4x = 8000

x = 2000

Monthly incomes :

Reeta = 4x = 4(2000) = 8000

Bishwant = 3x = 3(2000) = 6000

Hence, monthly income of Rita is $8000 and that of Bishant is $6000.
