Why did the Peace terms of World War I lay the groundwork for World War II? |

The peace terms created during WWI left Germany crippled. They had tons of debt to pay which totally destroyed their economy, this gave Hitler the chance to rise, and have a feeling of revenge. Germany at the time, was so low in spirits, quite a depressed country, that the moment Hitler came into power, without thinking followed him because of the great help he was, and thus his many followers.
