Alexandra is creating a food budget. Each day, her goal is to spend no more than $2 for breakfast, $8 for lunch, and $8 for dinner. Since there are about 30 days in a month, she estimates she will spend roughly $60 a month on food. Is that a good estimate?

Answer:

Alexander estimate is not a good estimate

Explanation:

Breakfast = $2

Lunch = $8

Dinner = $8

Total amount spent on food each month = (cost of breakfast × number of days) + (cost of lunch × number of days) + (cost of dinner × number of days)

= ($2 × 30) + ($8 × 30) + ($8 × 30)

= $(60 + 240 + 240)

= $540

Total cost estimate of food in a month = $540

Alexander estimate is not a good estimate
