we will apply here conservation of momentum:

put here value and we get velocity v2

solve it we get

10 = 5 × V 2

so here kinetic energy will be

KE = ½ × m × v²

so

∆KE = ½ × m1 × (v1)² - ½ × m2 × (v2) ²
