A junior​ one-day admission to an amusement park is ​$26. This price is increased by ​%70 for adults. Find the​ mark-up and the adult price. The​ mark-up is ​ nothing.

Answer:

The price for adults would be $44.20

Explanation:

There are 2 ways to solve this problem

1) You can multiply 26 by 0.7 and then add That to 26

Or

2) You can just multiply 26 by 1.7

You get the same answer for both ways

So first way

26*0.7 is 18.2

Now add 18.2 to 26

You’ll get 44.20

Second way

26*1.7. I multiplied by 1.7 becuase its a markup of 70 percent, th kid’s price is already 100 percent and for adult its an extra 70 percent so the china ally we’re paying 170 percent for the adult ticket

Now multiplying by 170 percent is basically the diamond 1.7

so 26*1.7 is 44.2
