Answer:

From P.G.T.

x²= (3)²+ (4)²

x² = 9 + 16

x² = 25

x = root of 25

x = 5

Greetings.

The answer is x = 5.

Step-by-step explanation:

We can solve for x-term by using Pythagorean Theorem.

a^2+b^2=c^2

We only remember that c-term is the opposite side of the right angle.

Meaning our x-term is the opposite of right angle.

While b-term and a-term are not that important to remember (Because of the property of addition. We can swap from a²+b² to b²+a² without any problems.)

Then we substitute a = 4, b = 3 and c = x in the equation.

From
a^2+b^2=c^2

4^2+3^2=x^2

The exponent rules -
a^n=a*a*a*a*...

Therefore, 4² = 4×4 = 16

3² = 3×3 = 9

16+9=x^2\\25=x^2

You might know about Quadratic Equation. When x-term is squared, square both sides would give the constant/number both plus-minus.

However, the length/area/width for basic geometry cannot be negative.

Thus, we clear out the negative (minus away)

x^2=25\\√(x^2)=√(25)\\ x=5

Thus, the answer is x = 5 (The last choice.)

Hope this helps! :)
