y=5/2x-8

Explanation:

To start, we first make 2x+5y=10 into slope int form, y=mx+b. We must isolate y, and to do that we minus 2x on both sides which gives us 5y=-2x+10 then we divide everything by 5. so now we have y=-2/5x+2.

perpendicular lines have opposite reciprocals so we have to flip the fraction + our sign, leaving us with 5/2 for our new line. Now we have to find our y int for this new line. we use y=mx+b and plugin everything we already know.

-3=5/2(2)+b and solve for b, which is -8. Lastly, we can form our new line, y=5/2x-8.
