Explanation:

y = mx + b

m is the slope and b is the y-intercept

The slope is how much units it goes up/down while how much units it goes left/right from one point to the other. So two points we'll use for reference is (-1, -1) and (0, 3). You want to make sure the points u choose are whole numbers cause they're easier to tell. So the distance between those 2 points if it goes to the right once and goes up 4 units. Left/right is x and up/down is y, y/x is how u write the slope. So it's 4/1 which is just 4

The y-intercept is just where the line intercepts on the y-axis. The line goes through the point 3 on the y-axis, so it's 3

Input the numbers in the equation and it's y = 4x + 3
