Their goal was to spread and beautify the Empire, and also to introduce certain changes in the everyday life of the country, especially the capital. We can say that they achieved this, as this was the period of the greatest prosperity for the Byzantines.

This period is known as the peak of the Empire. After Theodora helped Justinian to destroy the Nika revolt, he spread hiss country across the Mediterranean. On the other side, he beautified the capital, by building many new buildings, among which the most famous one is church of Saint Sophia. Theodora obviously had a large influence on Justinian when it comes to this. Not to mention the codification of laws that was achieved in this period.
