Answer:

f(-3) = -16

Explanation:

Given piecewise function is,

f(x) = 5x - 1 If x < -2

x + 3 If x ≥ -2

We have to find the value of he function when x = -3

Since x = -3 is less than x = -2,

Piece of the function to be considered,

f(x) = 5x - 1

f(-3) = 5(-3) - 1

f(-3) = -16
