Let the length of the base of an isosceles triangle = x cms, then the length of a

leg =(x-7)cms. Acordingly:-

(x-7)+(x-7)+ x= 52 cms.

or. 3x=52+14

or. x = 66/3 = 22 cm.

Length of the base= 22 cm.
