Step two:

We know that the expression for the perimeter is

P= 2L+2W

P=2(3x + 6)+2(2x - 4)

open bracket

P=6x+12+4x-8

collect like terms

P=10x+4

Step three:

when P= 94 we want to find x

94=10x+4

94-4=10x

90=10x

divide by 10

x=90/10

x= 9
