y= mx+ c

As given

slope=m=-2/5

also given (x, y)= (-5, 7)

we get x=-5 , y=7

putt in the equation of line all these values we get ,

7=(-2/5)(-5) +c

c=7-2

c=5 now putt the value of c and m in equation of line we will get ,required equation of line

y = (-2/5)x + 5 Ans
