Answer: 4 more pencils than markers

Explanation:

The ratios are pens to pencils is 2:3 and the ratio of markers to pencils is 1:3. Since there are 4 pens there'll be 6 pencils, and since the ratio of markers to pencils is 1:3, there'll be 2 markers.

Markers: 2

Pencils: 6

Pens: 4

Since you have to find how many more pencils then markers there are, you'll have to subtract the number of pencils by the number of markers.

6-2=4
