I'm assuming you're not doing the pre-calculus version of this equation where your angle is in radians. So we'll do the Geometry version which looks like this:


AL=(\theta)/(360)*2\pi r

Our angle is 30 and our radius is 4, so we fill in accordingly:


AL=(30)/(360)*2(3.1415)(4) (this is if you multiply in pi. We'll find the answer in terms of pi as well).

AL =
(1)/(12)*25.132 and

AL = 2.09433 inches

In terms of pi, the answer would be
