Given the equation y=1/3x+4 , what is the value of y if x = 3? State your answer in decimal form.

y=5. if you do the problem you would plug in 3 for x, so the equation would be y=1/3(3)+4. 1/3 times 3 equals 1, so then it would be 1 plus 4 which equals 5. therefore, y=5.
