From the figure ,

it is quite clear that the given triangle is an isosceles , right-angled triangle

Given that , one side of the triangle is of length 32 and the other one is of length " x " units.

therefore ,

By applying Pythagoras theorem ,


x {}^(2) + x {}^(2) = (3 √(2) ) {}^(2) \\ \\ 18 = 2x {}^(2) \\ \\ x {}^(2) = \cancel (18)/(2) = 9 \: units \\ \\ \therefore \: \boxed{x = 3 \: units}

thus ,

option ( B ) is correct.
