Explanation:

As we know point slope form ,

(Y- Y1) = m (X- X1)

As given data ,

m = -2/5

(X1,Y1) = (5, -12)

X1= 5 , Y1= -12

putt in the above equation these values, we get

Y-(-12) = (-2/5) ( X-5)

Y+12=(-2/5)X+2

Y= (-2/5)X -10 Ans ,ITs also an answer but if you want to simplify more ,

taking LCM we get

Y = ((-2)X-50)/5

5Y=(-2)X-50 Ans
