A 35 foot wire is secured from the top of a flagpole to a stake in the ground. If the stake is 14 ft from the base of the flagpole, how tall is the flagpole?

Then, using Pythagoras theorem

c² = a² + b²

h² =1225-196

h² = 1029

h=√1029
