Detailed Solution:

1) Let ‘n’ be 5
Therefore, (n + 2) = 5 + 2 = 7

=> 5^2 = 25
=> 7^2 = 49

Difference of Squares
= 49 - 25
=> 24

24 is an Even Number.
Hence, proved.

1) Let ‘n’ be 5
Therefore, (n + 3) = 5 + 3 = 8

=> 5^2 = 25
=> 8^2 = 64

Difference of Squares
= 64 - 25
=> 39

39 is an Odd Number.
Hence, proved.

Explanation:

1. let n=2, then, n+2= 2+2=4 so 2^2= 4 and 4^2=16 then 16-4=12 which is an even number

2. let n=4, the. n+3=4+3=7, and 4^2=16 and 7^2=49 then 49-16 =33 which is an odd number
