If anyone is good at math, please like PLEASE help me with this. I did learn this in class but I’m still confused about it. Can anyone explain the steps of it and how you find the answer??

2.25x + 3 = 0.05 ( 45x + 60 )

Explanation:

When you factorise two terms, their common factor would be outside the bracket and the quotient of the factor and the number would be inside the bracket.

In this case, 2.25x and 3 have a common factor of 0.05, so 0.05 would be at the left-hand side of the diagram and outside the bracket at the bottom.

2.25x = 0.05 × 45x

3 = 0.05 × 60

Thus, 45x would be at the top left of the diagram since 45x and 0.05 form 2.25x and 60 would be at the top right of the diagram since 60 and 0.05 form 3.

2.25x + 3 = 0.05 ( 45x + 60 )
