longest rivers in the world, is about 6,400 kilometers long. If 1 mile equals 1.6 kilometers, what is the length of the Amazon River in miles?

If we know each miles are 1.6 km, we can do a rule of three to get the length of the river:

1 1.6

X 6400

Now, we know that = 4000 miles

You can also just divide 6400/ 1.6 as each 1.6 kilometers are one mile
