What is the value of x?

Answer:

x = 9

Explanation:

∆ABC is similar to ∆XYZ

Therefore:


(AB)/(XY) = (BC)/(YZ)

AB = 4

XY = 12

BC = 3

YZ = x

Plug in the values


(4)/(12) = (3)/(x)

Cross multiply

4x = 36

Divide both sides by 4

x = 9
