Answer:

Discount=$8.7

Selling price=$49.3

Explanation:

First you need to write that in an equation form-

a/58=15/100

Then you need to do cross multiplication-

100a=58(15)

100a=870

Now divide 100 from both sides-

100a/100=870/100

a=8.7

Thats the discount rate

Now subtract that from the original price

58-8.7=49.3

Thats the price after the discount
