What war is this involving? If WW1,

Distinctive bright blue uniforms, though earlier in the war they carried dark blue uniforms with red trousers.

Here are why the other answers are incorrect:

A. No side really used camouflage on most soldiers. This was a practice that was started in (with the Germany) WW2, but eventually grew with the years to come. And for guerrilla warfare, the French didn’t use it. They used napoleonic tactics in the early stages of WW1.

C. I believe the most common style of close combat was the bayonet charge/usage, which was used by all sides.

D. Most sides were using older rifles, including the French, which were from the 1880s-early 1900s.

Hope this helps!
