Why is the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus NOT considered an independent stad

The majority of the population is ethnically Greek.
Half of the island is separated by a UN buffer zone,
AUN peace plan for reunification was rejected by the Greek side of the island.
No country other than Turkey viens it as a sovereign state,
O Greece claims the island as a Greek territory.

No country other than Turkey views is as a sovereign state is the answer. This is because to be a “real” nation, one of the key steps is being recognized by most, if not all of the United Nations’ members.
